We’re having some real success with our car park ventilation systems. We set-up control of exhausts and fans, then we monitor CO, temperature, energy usage, door status etc A cloud service that is controlled remotely with proven tech and adherence to system design and fire management standards.

We’ve recently been involved in getting the impressive new Big Chill Waikato Distribution Centre at Rukaura ready for their team with another clever HVAC solution incorporating Green Star compliance.

The government is encouraging a shift to low-emission refrigerants, are likely to increase controls on imports of pre-charged equipment containing high-GWP fluorinated gases and investigate prohibiting fluorinated gases where low-GWP alternatives are available.

Big congrats to our service team over January handling a decent increase in enquiries and for sorting out some tricky situations. Our wonderfully hot and humid summer is great, but can give some HVAC and Refrigeration environments a hard time.

We’re working towards a lower emissions future. We expect the Emissions Trading Scheme will drive the NZU higher, importation limits on bulk HFCs will start to bite and ESG considerations will become increasingly important.

The final big milestone on this project was reached last week when we commissioned this brand new CO2 rack in Auckland.
